Elevator Malfunction

If you are in the elevator and it stops for no apparent reason, remember to remain calm. Pressing the emergency button rings an alarm which notifies others nearby of a malfunction. Currently, the use of the emergency phone connects you directly to the Marlborough Fire Department for emergency response.

During a power failure, the elevators in Building 2, 3, and 4 will automatically return to the ground floor and doors will open to discharge passengers. These elevators will remain out of service until normal conditions are restored.

Elevators in Building 1 are served with emergency power. During a power failure and following a brief transition over to emergency power, both Building 1 passenger elevators and the single freight elevator will continue to operate.

IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE, ELEVATORS MUST NOT BE USED FOR EVACUATION. USE THE STAIRWELLS.
